Where the Healthy Things Are

It's true that you can be health conscious at Oliver Café and Lounge in Beverly Hills, but healthy fare is not all that is offered on this globally inspired menu. From breakfast to well after dinner time a choice of delicious and well priced dining delights are yours for enjoying. And forget about Happy Hour, this place does a Chill-Out hour, complete with a wheat grass martini for those who need rejuvenating after their workout at Sports Club LA, which is adjacent and adjoining to Oliver. Not to fret, they do the old fashioned kind of martini too- straight up with an olive - for those who consider raising a glass getting physical.

Something for everyone's scents and sensibilities, breakfast items include the usual morning menu suspects, made light with egg whites and whole wheat, everything with an Oliver twist, such as the Power Energy Chilaquiles; eggs, spinach, avocado, white beans, feta cheese, green tomatillo and corn tortillas. If you need to grab and go a signature smoothie will always hit the spot; Queen Latifa's favorite is the Choco-Peanut Butter. That might be my favorite too.

The All Day menu is served from 11am until closing, with options that range from Asian, Latin and Italian inspired salads, sandwiches, Panini's and wraps. And some American classics too; the Philadelphia Cheese Steak Panini made with rib eye is not one of their under 500 calorie menu options, but it is very tasty and well worth the indulgence.

Dinner selections change daily and run the gamut from fresh Lake Superior White Fish to an assorted sushi plate to home made meatloaf and more, assuring that everyone in your dining party will find something to satisfy their palette.

The space itself is sexy Dodd Mitchell hip, the location is Beverly Hills sophistication, and the culinary team, from the owner to the chef to the servers, is the staff that foodie dreams are made of. After an outing to Oliver you are sure to be saying, please sir, I want more. Ah yes, food, glorious food.
