Easter Festivities for the Family
Easter springs in early this year, just a few days after the official spring equinox, making the Easter holiday weekend the perfect time to celebrate all things rebirth and springtime. Enjoy marshmallow chicks, chocolate bunnies and colored eggs. Take the family outdoors to welcome the return of the Tulips, Daffodils and Crocuses.  We’ve compiled a list of activities below to choose from that are guaranteed to make everyone happy, from egg hunts, to a haute dog parade to a sunrise service at the Bowl. You can even hop on over to the Bunny Museum in Pasadena and see the world's largest bunny collection!

Signed Easter Egg Hunt
The Reagan Library has hidden 14 wooden Easter eggs, autographed by celebrities and politicians, all over the Museum and the Air Force One Pavilion. Children can search for them, and participants who find 10 of the 14 eggs and submit a worksheet are entered into a drawing to win a signed egg.

Big Bunny's Spring Fling at the LA Zoo & Botanical Gardens
Kids can make bunny ears, pet bunnies and have their photo taken (for a fee) with Big Bunny and other cartoon characters at this three-day event at the LA Zoo. There will be crafts, face painting, music and more.
When: March 21-23, 2008, 10 am - 4 pm

Easter Sunrise Service at the Hollywood Bowl
A non-denominational Easter service with multi-denominational clergy and a 240 voice choir; 250 children in the Living Cross and Children's Choirs in nature's cathedral, decorated with thousands of Easter Lilies and ending with the mass release of the White Birds of Peace.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden
Activities for children of all ages include nature crafts, eco games and photo opportunities. Easter baskets will be provided for every paid child admission; no outside baskets will be allowed.
When: Saturday, March 22, 2008, 10 am - 2 pm, Arboretum hours 9 am - 5 pm

Cost: $2.50-$7 general admission plus $10 per child to participate in the hunt.

Haute Dog Easter Parade
500 pooches in bunny ears and bonnets will parade along the sidewalks of Belmont Shores in Long Beach on Easter Sunday. Pet fair will continue at Livingston Park. Best canine Easter outfit wins dog food for a year. There are prizes for human finery as well.
When: Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, 2:30 pm, approximately an hour.
Where: Event starts at Livingston Park, Livingston Dr. at Park Ave in Long Beach
Cost: $15 per dog advance, $25 day of event to participate. Free to watch. Folding chairs are available to rent for $5.

The Bunny Museum
The private home of Candace Frazee and Steve Lubanski features over 23,412 (and counting) bunny items which have been collected since 1993. The world’s largest bunny collection has been open to the public since 1998.
