Sports are the only focus imagined at this huge behemoth located in Downtown Disney. The Screening Room is where you will spend most of your time, with a mammoth 16-foot high definition screen and a dozen smaller 36 inchers sprinkled throughout. TVs are even provided in the bathroom so you don’t miss a second of the action on the 175 total screens inside all 36,000 square feet. Need we say more?

BARNEYS BEANERY – SANTA MONICA

1351 Third St. Promenade
Santa Monica/310.656.5777
www.barneysbeanery.com
More than 100 blaring TVs make this one of the best places in Santa Monica to enjoy the game…any game. Luckily, there’s plenty of chili, burgers and fries to accompany your beer, so there’s no need to ever leave this sports’ lovers paradise. You can also visit the West Hollywood location, but Santa Monica is infinitely more interesting!

Hollywood/323.469.BIGW
www.bigwangswings.com
Built as an affordable but hip place to escape all of the attitude that is found on every corner in Hollywood, Big Wang’s prides itself on being a casual sports bar that has cheap drink prices and great food. Thirteen 42 inch plasmas and a 120 inch projection TV ensure that you won’t miss a dribble, free-throw or basket.

BUSBY’S
3110 Santa Monica Blvd.
Santa Monica/310.828.4567
www.busbysonline.com
Better called a sports lounge than sports bar, Busby’s has everything you’ll need to enjoy the game: 25 plasma screen TVs, gourmet tapas and an upscale vibe that is truly both welcoming and cutting edge.

FOX SPORTS SKY BOX AT STAPLES CENTER
1111 S. Figueroa St.
Los Angeles/213.742.7345
www.staplescenter.com/sportsskybox
If you really wanna feel like a sports fan but don’t have a ticket, this is the place for you. Blaring big screens are literally everywhere, and the excitement from fans actually attending the game is hypnotic. Great place to go when the Center is dark and the sports are national.

GRAND AVENUE SPORTS BAR
506 S. Grand Ave.
Downtown L.A./213.612.1532
www.grandavenuesportsbar.com
While the elegant Biltmore might be the last place you’d expect to find a great sports bar, this one is tops! While it might seem a little off the beaten path, this joint offers one of the best mixes of people anywhere in L.A., including local loft dwellers, just-leaving-the-office execs and even a college type or two!

HARPERS SPORTS BAR AND GRILLE
19333 Business Center Dr.
Northridge/818.349.3474
www.harpersbar.com
Pool, darts and plenty of TVs makes Harpers a definite must-stop if you’re in the neighborhood. While it might not be the fanciest Sports Bar in L.A., it’s a great destination if you live in or around Northridge.

MR. POCKETS SPORTS BAR
516 N. Sepulveda Blvd.
Manhattan Beach/310.372.4343
www.mrpockets.com
Voted the #1 sports bar in the South Bay, Mr. Pockets is not your ordinary sports bar! Their 10,000 square foot facility features a full bar, 9 wide screens, 60 televisions, 22 regulation pool tables, air hockey, ping pong, darts, electronic skill games, and much more!

POINT MOOREA

7th & Figueroa
Wilshire Grand Hotel
Los Angeles/213.688.7777
www.pointmoorea.com
This is a smallish but very hip destination in downtown L.A. It’s a great combination of elements: downtown business clients, trendy atmosphere, damn good food and some of the friendliest bar staff you have ever seen. It has a good feel, this cool little bar…give it a try.

Q’s BILLIARD CLUB
11835 Wilshire Blvd.
West L.A./310.477.7550
www.qsbilliards.com
Great destination for those who want more to do than simply sit transfixed by TV. You can squeeze in a game of pool with your closest buds, grab a beer and burger and still not miss important, game-altering plays via replay. Also a location in Old Town Pasadena.

THE SEASON TICKET
5835 E. Los Angeles Ave.
Simi Valley/805.520.1166
Sure, this is a sports bar that attracts even the rowdiest fans. But it is also a great place to meet people, offering a range of icebreakers, from karaoke to a rousing trivia game. If you don’t live out here, it might seem like a drive…but the company is worth it.

TONY P’s DOCKSIDE GRILL
4445 Admiralty Way
Marina del Rey/310.823.4534
www.tonyps.com
Tony P’s offers a wall of big screen TVs to stoke your sports fervor. It’s a YUPPIE crowd with a capital YUP, but it also offers stunning marina views for sunset walks with that basketball fan you just HAD to meet. Don’t expect a quiet afternoon; go with your game face on!

YANKEE DOODLE’S
1410 3rd St.
Santa Monica/310.394.4632
www.yankeedoodles.com
Big screens seem everywhere at this happening locale where the tanned and tone seem to go to watch their sports. Perfectly located on the 3rd Street Promenade, this is an ideal way to watch the game…and people too. Is there ever anything bad with grabbing a game of pool during half-time? Also a location in Woodland Hills.

YARD HOUSE
330 E. Colorado Blvd.
Pasadena/626.577.YARD
www.yardhouse.com
With 23 TVs and more than 100 libations to choose from, this is one of the most boisterous joints in town. Best of all, the food’s as good as the bar action, so don’t even consider crossing this off your short list.
