If two locations constitute a chain, then Lala’s Argentine
Grill is a chain we love. Sipping a simple Sauvignon Blanc
on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Studio City could not have
been lovelier. Funky, lightly trendy, an artsy vibe without
trying to hard, open and communal with friendly locals
covers the ambiance and décor. |
The food is delish, with lots
of flavors, and textures, but manages to be simple at the
same time; great quality for amazing value, particularly the
steak and salmon. Standouts include the Bife Encebollado;
grilled Angus skirt steak topped with grilled onions, garlic
and parsley and the Salmon Dijon. Their rice is the kind you
can not stop eating, same goes for the Chimichurri Sauce.
How I do wish there was one in my neighborhood, because I
would be a regular.
