Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (PG) In this sequel to the 2001 family comedy, the ongoing war between the canine and feline species is delayed while they join forces to thwart a rogue cat spy. The cast of voice actors includes Bette Midler, James Marsden, Nick Nolte, Neal Patrick Harris and Wallace Shawn; Brad Peyton directs the Warner Bros. Pictures release.

Charlie St. Cloud (PG-13) Universal Pictures presents this fantasy-romance starring Zac Efron as a young man who takes a job at a cemetery where he plays catch and talks each night with his dead brother. The cast also includes Charlie Tahan, Amanda Crew, Kim Basinger and Ray Liotta; based on a novel by Ben Sherwood and directed by Burr Steers ("17 Again").

Countdown to Zero (PG) Lucy Walker's documentary is about the nuclear arms race. Distributed by Magnolia Pictures.

Dinner for Schmucks (PG-13) Based on a 1998 French film called "The Dinner Game," this comedy from Paramount Pictures stars Paul Rudd as a rising executive who invites an IRS employee (Steve Carell) to be his guest at a monthly "dinner for idiots." The cast also includes Zach Galifianakis, Stephanie Szostak and Bruce Greenwood; the director is Jay Roach ("Meet the Fockers")

The Dry Land (R) Written and directed by Ryan Piers Williams, this drama is about a U.S. soldier returning home to Texas and struggling to reconcile his war experiences with family and his old life. The cast includes Ryan O'Nan, America Ferrera, Wilmer Valderrama, Jason Ritter and Melissa Leo; distributed by Freestyle Releasing.

The Extra Man (R) Kevin Kline and Paul Dano star in this comedy about a man who escorts wealthy widows in New York taking an aspiring playwright under his wing. The cast also includes Katie Holmes, John C. Reilly and Cathy Moriarty; Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini ("The Nanny Diaries") direct the Magnolia Pictures release.

Get Low (PG-13) Sony Pictures Classics presents this comedy-drama set in the 1930s about a mysterious Tennessee hermit (Robert Duvall) who throws his own raucous funeral party when he's still alive. The cast also includes Sissy Spacek, Bill Murray and Lucas Black; directed by Aaron Schneider ("Two Soldiers").

Life During Wartime (No Rating) This ensemble comedy-drama from writer-director Todd Solondz ("Palindromes") is about friends, family and lovers struggling to find forgiveness and meaning in a world of comedy and pathos. The cast includes Ciaran Hinds, Allison Janney, Michael Lerner, Shirley Henderson and Michael K. Williams; released by IFC Films.
