They are the
little band that
could. An
overnight night
success they
say, that took
13 years before
it began. Some
try to pigeon
hole them as
Country but the
fans of
Bluegrass, Jam
Bands and Reggae
are also amongst
their biggest
fans. It has
been said they
are the Country
band for people
who don't like
Country. They
are the
Zac Brown Band
and America is
slowly, but
surely, falling
for their brand
of down home
charm.
Zac and the five
other members of
the band are
finally coming
into their own
and the smell of
success could
not be sweeter.
2010 brought
with it a Grammy
for "Best New
Artist" along
with awards from
the CMA and CMT.
Their simple
philosophy is
that if they are
having a good
time on the
stage then it is
like a chain
reaction that
infects the
entire audience.
Ticket sales at
their sold out
shows seem to
support that
with a strong
grass roots
campaign that is
bringing in new
fans from coast
to coast. With
their number one
hit single
"Chicken Fried"
along with
"Whatever It
Is", "Toes" and
"Highway 20
Ride" the sky
seems to be the
limit. And when
not touring or
in the recording
studio Zac likes
to give back as
much as he can.
He started a
record label to
help up and
coming artists
break into the
biz. And he has
founded a
charitable
foundation to
establish a camp
for children,
his goal to show
the next
generation that
everyone is
equal regardless
of skin color,
physical
challenges or
religious
affiliation.
Coming from a
large family
himself (the
11th of 12
children) he
knows how
important it is
for everyone to
feel like they
belong.
With their
irresistible
Billboard hits,
the
awe-inspiring
musicianship and
their dynamic
live stage show,
the Zac Brown
Band has fans
around the
country wanting
more. They are
two hours of
good times and
let's face it,
we could all use
a little more of
that.
